WOW! Thanks. Probably nobody was left alive in the Samurai project to share this info?? or why didnt they put it in the manual? Kyocera changing ownership and they simply did not care anymore. Kyocera still exist today but only as a photocopier. I feel sad that normies will never know what a cool company they were and they had a huge impact in photography and the lives of hipsters. LOL.

BTW. this trick doesn't work on the Samurai Z or Z-L. It does fall over to 2020 but you can't forward to years ahead. 🙁

Mine says FF on the Adjustment Item 09. What does this mean ? Does it say 00 when the total shutter count is below 10000 ? I have looked up the repair manual and it doesn't mention this.

DO you have any suggestions for preventing damage to the flex cable in the first place? That would be a great video! I just got mine, Ima leaving it on the 28mm setting and to turn it off im not moving the lever all the way to the off position, just barely moving it off of 28.

so has anyone been able to fix this issue yet? just got a TVS from a friend and it seems to be a flex cable issue, also I dont know if this is a problem but the front part of the lens of my one can just be removed from the camera by pulling it?

I just tried this with my G2 that just purchased hours ago but I noticed that now the shutter isn’t firing. Is this somehow related?

Thanks! This is a big help! This setting remains until changed again, correct? I was able to get it to work easily on mine but unfortunately my film count lcd is shot so I can't check what setting it is on each roll. I'd love for it to just stay on the leave film leader out setting.

I've had almost all versions of the Yashica/Kyocera Samurai (X3.0, X4.0, Z, Z2 and Z2/L to V-70 and the DG1300 and 2100) - they are generally quite fun but quite fiddly and prone to fungus/clouding of mirror and lenses. Why are they selling for such silly prices on ebay?

Hey! I have a T4 as well, and only wanted to clean the clear plastics from all the dust that gathered inside (the covers of viewfinder and autofocus sensors on the front plate). In order to remove the front plate, do i only need to unscrew the bottom screw or all the ones that you did as well? Cheers!!

I do have the same issue but it only happens sometimes like 1 or 2 times on a 36 roll and works perfectly fine after.

Also you can see how I've messed with my samurai, haha. I removed the hotshoe and "action grip". Tape is your friend!
